Eyeing that dream University?
Build your skills and university profile with an outstanding Research Project!
Research projects are a great way to stand apart from your peers and discover your area of interest in depth. It also helps in developing critical thinking, collaboration, self-discipline, and initiative.
Research, when done right and presented appropriately, is a great way to showcase your talent and ability in the chosen domain. Pick up a passion project that helps build your theme.
The Global Research Innovation Programme (GRIP) focuses on research-based learning and problem solving through projects. You will be guided and assessed by faculty from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Our in-house certified research mentors also guide students through project-focused consultation, and mock and feedback sessions.
Over 12 weeks, you conduct empathy-led primary research, define the problem, and evolve innovative solution(s). Your approach needs to be inter-disciplinary and aimed at creating prototypes that are user-friendly and can be commercialized.
At the end of the program, you are assessed by NUS and NTU for the projects. You will also earn a Letter of Evaluation (LOE) for your work from NUS and NTU, Singapore.
The project is experiential and not theoretical. Students gather insights by interviewing real-life people and come back in every session to move forward (the 5 phases of Design Thinking). Approximately 7-8 hours per week should be sufficient to successfully complete the program.
Project domains are assigned purely based on students’ interests and passion areas.
Corporate Gurukul mentors closely monitor the progress and guide the students through self-directed research work, wherever necessary.
